Several members of the Aztek team were asked recently to appear in a series of short videos for the Career Zoo. The Career Zoo is a great educational resource where students can learn more about finding and working in different kinds of careers (often ones they may not even be aware exist). We were happy to help out and talk about some of the different jobs we have here at Aztek. You can Chek out the videos below.

Last week I was invited to the Tri-C Metro campus in downtown Cleveland to tour their new Creative Arts/Rock & Roll Hall of

The Aztek team and the law firm of Brouse McDowell came together this morning in downtown Cleveland for a dicussion about using Social Media for Business. Aztek provided insight into the different social networks that are available, how to determine which one is best for your business/industry as well as the pros & cons of each. Brouse McDowell provided information and advice about the legal ramifications of using social media as well as examples of how the use of social media by businesses and employees changes the legal landscape for a business in terms of employee handbooks, employment screening, non-compete agreements, etc.
Aztek and Brouse McDowell would like to thank all that attended this event. We hope that everyone enjoyed the presentation and gained some valuable insight into the world of social media and how it relates to your business.
If you missed the panel discussion or would like to take a look at the handout that was given out this morning, download the PDF below:

Again, thanks to all that attended the event this morning!
Last month I was invited down to Stark State College of Technology as a member of the Stark State College Information Technology Advisory Committee. Say that three times fast.
Kidding aside, this is a great endeavor that puts the Stark State IT faculty in direct contact with professionals in the field, letting them compare what they're teaching with what's being done in the real world. In short – making sure their graduates are as prepared as possible for the "real world."
Aztek is proud to announce the second year of their sponsorship of the NEOSA Cool
Tech Challenge. (www.cooltechchallenge.org). The annual contest gives Cleveland area high-school students an opportunity to design and
develop a website for the chance to win scholarship money, gift cards, and
other prizes donated by other local sponsors.
A great article from one of our favorite web design blogs (Smashing Magazine). A must read for the client Web Manager (or whoever is in charge of your company's website).
