The City of Parma website, designed and developed by the Aztek team, received the prestigious Top City Government Website Award from Juggle.com. Parma's website earned this award after the Awards editors reviewed more than 3,000 other municipal websites from across the United States.

As explained by the Awards editor, the website won this award due to its "impressively rich information, useful services and excellent visual design". The City of Parma website, also hosted by Aztek, will be featured on the Juggle website. 

It has been Aztek's goal to provide the City of Parma with the latest and most up-to-date web services.  The City of Parma website meets current design standards and provides residents with relevant web-based applications that are easily accessible.

Last Friday was the 4th annual eMarketing Techniques Conference in Cleveland, Ohio. This event is held at Corporate College every May. I have been lucky enough to have attended this conference for the last 3 years.

I am not sure if it is the spring weather in Cleveland or the great presentations but everyone at this conference always seems so upbeat, energetic and optimistic about our industry. The attendance is always a good mix of Cleveland web design experts, SEOs and social media marketers that want to know what is new and exciting in the online marketing world. I always look forward to this event and I definitely was not disappointed in this year's conference. Location based applications and services have increased in popularity and usage recently. This explosion is in part due to the power of GPS (Global Positioning System) and the convenience of these tools. One of the newest location based applications to hit the streets is Foursquare. Foursquare is a location based social application that can also be viewed as a social networking site. Foursquare is only in the early adoption phase but has been growing very quickly. The latest reports on Foursquare's rapid growth are rather impressive. About two weeks ago, over the course of 10 days, Foursquare grew by nearly 100,000 users. The most recent estimate from the company puts Foursquare at almost 725,000 users (in less than a year of existence). As with the emergence of any new tool or application, there are many questions and misunderstandings surrounding Foursquare. In the recent March/April 2010 issue of Inside Business, Dan Hanson names Northeast Ohio's "Tech Elite" and Aztek's very own, John Hill was among them. The article names Cleveland's top technology leaders like AJ Hyland, Jim Cookinham, Roy Church, and Ray Leach.

John Hill is Aztek's CEO and founded the company 13 years ago, making Aztek the second oldest web design and development firm in Cleveland. Aztek passed the 500 mark in total clients this year and has no plans to stop anytime soon.
