.Net Web Developer

What We’re Looking For

Are you a .Net developer with experience building and launching websites and web applications for a variety of organizations? Oh good, that's what we need! 

In the .NET developer role, you will be responsible for creating software applications, websites, and providing occasional technical support for Aztek’s digital marketing clients and website design projects. The .Net developer will work with a team of other front-end and back-end developers, designers, and other specialists to write code our clients need to help them succeed online. 

The .Net Developer should love a challenge and be eager to learn and grow.

The ideal candidate has development experience with a CMS like Umbraco, Kentico, or even WordPress. Candidates should exhibit an understanding of SQL databases and the HTTP protocol. Candidates should also offer a well-rounded skill set that includes the ability to communicate with clients, work independently, and the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time. 

Here are the Specifics

Want to know what you’ll be doing on a day-to-day basis?

  • Be involved in every aspect of the project, from discovery client meetings, planning, development, and sprint-reviews/demo 
  • Write clean code using .NET programming languages 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture 
  • Test and deploy applications and systems 
  • Revise, update, refactor and debug code 
  • Improve existing software 
  • Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC) 
  • Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support 
  • Write code during the first week; ideally the first day! 
  • Have monthly check-ins to gauge progress and assess individual goals 

What Makes a Great Fit?

  • 4+ years of experience writing .Net code for websites and web applications 
  • Familiarity with ASP .Net Core and .Net Framework, SQL Server, and design/architectural patterns 
  • Knowledge of C#, SQL, JavaScript, and HTML5/CSS3 
  • Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC) 
  • Experience with Git and the Azure DevOps platform 
  • Experience with IIS and Azure App Services 
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies 
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills 
  • Ability to contribute to multiple projects with varying deadlines at the same time 
  • Skill in finding and fixing bugs, errors, and problems in code, computer software, or computer hardware 
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
